Christina Burroughs serves as Managing Partner for MRA Associates. She works with client families on a variety of wealth management issues such as investment planning, strategic multi-generational planning, and philanthropy. She serves on the MRA Associates Governance Board, Executive Committee, and Investment Policy Committee.
Christina earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Northwestern College. She completed graduate coursework in Clinical Psychology at Wheaton College and the Program for Certiﬁcation of Financial Planners for Northeastern University. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Before joining MRA in 2011, Christina was the President of GenSpring Family Offices’ Phoenix family office. Prior to that, she served as a Director at Inlign Wealth Management and Financial Advisor at Tanager Financial Services in Boston, MA. Christina has worked with wealth management clients since 2001; before that she worked for seven years in human services and clinical psychology.
Christina serves on the Board of Directors for Act One Arizona and as a member of Expect More Arizona’s Business Advisory Council. She served on the Valley of the Sun United Way’s Ending Hunger Leadership Council, the AZ Children’s Business Fair Organizing Committee, the Board of Directors for Hustle PHX, the Board of Directors for The Be Kind People Project™, and as a Board Member and Vice-Chair for the Cancer Support Community Arizona. In 2011, she was named to the Phoenix Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty and Top 25 Businesswomen of the Year lists. Christina was selected as one of Arizona’s 50 highest-ranking women in the Arizona Republic’s 2014 issue of Who’s Who in Business. She was also recognized as one of 2014’s Top 100 Women Financial Advisors in the Financial Times. In 2016, Christina was named as one of the Most Influential Women by the AzBusiness Magazine.
Christina resides in Phoenix with her husband and their two Ethiopian-born children. She loves to travel, is a voracious reader, and is thankful for having been born to Midwestern ranching families, who taught her a whole lot about life, family, and work.
