Managing Partner
Mike Hirte serves as a Managing Partner for MRA Associates. He leads and oversees the day-to-day management of the firm’s tax practice. His primary role is to deliver tax services to our individual clients and their businesses. He works with our clients on prioritizing their goals, addressing their complex tax issues and tax planning needs, and delivering timely tax returns.
Mike’s responsibilities also include the coordination and leadership of all daily operations such as billing, staffing, recruiting, and process improvement. In addition, he corresponds with our clients’ investment advisors and outside counsel to be part of a cohesive engagement team. He serves as a member of the MRA Associates Executive Committee and Management Committee.
Prior to joining MRA Associates in early 2017, Mike was first a managing member at Jacobo, Licht, and Hirte PLLC, and then a managing member at Hirte Consulting Group, PLLC. In those roles, he provided tax planning and preparation services to a variety of clients. His responsibilities also included estate and trust tax planning and return preparation, organizing the transfer of assets to beneficiaries, and providing security to a surviving spouse and families.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arizona State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling, fly fishing, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Within days of deferring the tax payment deadline from April 15th to July 15th, the IRS issued Notice 2020-18 which also defers the tax filing deadline from April 15, 2020 to July 15, 2020.
