Jim LaMancusa serves as a Retirement Plan Specialist for MRA Associates. He works with retirement plan clients regarding a multitude of issues including fiduciary and 404(c) compliance, IRS and DOL compliance testing, plan conversions, and participant education.
Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Arizona State University. He holds the Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designations with the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. Jim also holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ professional designation, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh. He has also received formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility. Prior to joining MRA Associates in 2000, Jim spent more than five years working with retirement plan service providers, where he prepared and managed all facets of plan administration, including interpretation of statutes and regulations, and facilitated training sessions. In addition, he served for six years in the United States Air Force.
Jim is currently a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and the Phoenix Chapter of the Western Pension and Benefits Conference.
