Bill Hodges serves as Chairman for MRA Associates. He provides tax and financial planning services, as well as estate and succession planning. Bill earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Accounting from Arizona State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the Personal Financial Specialist designation. Most recently, Bill was Senior Managing Director of GenSpring Family Offices’ Phoenix office. Prior to that, Bill had an extensive career in public accounting with a specialty in assisting closely held businesses and high net worth individuals and their families with financial and tax matters.
He was a partner with Arthur Andersen until 2002 (heading up the tax practices of Arizona and New Mexico) and managing partner of the Pacific Southwest Federal tax practice. After Arthur Andersen, Bill was in charge of the Phoenix office Private Client Services practice of another major public accounting firm before joining Inlign Wealth Management in 2004, which was later purchased by GenSpring in 2008.
Bill is past chairman of the Board of the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF), a past chairman of the Professional Advisory Board of the ACF, a past chairman of Arizona Boys Hope Girls Hope, as well as a current Board Member and Secretary/Treasurer of the McKenzie Monks Foundation. He was honored with the Distinguished Achievement Award from the College of Business at Arizona State University, and was the recipient of the James W. Cressman Award of Excellence in 2000 from the Arizona State University Alumni Association. Bill is a former Chairman of the Arizona Society of CPAs and recipient of the 2005 Public Service award from the ASCPA. Bill has serve on a number of other community boards as chairman.
Bill and his wife, Sheri, have been happily married since 1968 and have two children, Christi and Brent and three grandchildren, TJ, Caiden, and Addi.
