Russ Bucklew serves as a Partner for MRA Associates. He manages the Las Vegas office and serves clients in Southern Arizona providing investment and wealth management to high net worth individuals and institutions.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington, a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University, and a Juris Doctor from Seattle University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Certified Exit Planning Advisor. Prior to joining MRA Associates in 2005, Russ worked for ten years providing financial advice at Charles Schwab and Merrill Lynch. Russ also has 12 years’ experience in providing banking and trust services with two institutions in the Pacific Northwest. He began his career with a law firm in Seattle. Russ was a member of the Washington Bar for 25 years and is active with the Arizona Bar Association Probate and Trust Section.
Russ is active in the professional community and regularly attends meetings for the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the Arizona Estate Planning Council, and the Society of Financial Professionals. Russ is a dedicated member of the Professional Advisor Group at the University Nevada Las Vegas. Russ is an officer and active member in Toastmasters International, and in 2015 was a finalist at the International speech contest. He recently received an award for being a 2016 Phoenix Five Star Wealth Manager™1.
He is actively involved in the community, volunteering at elementary schools for the poor and disadvantaged. Russ and his wife Joan have a special passion for helping children from challenged backgrounds get the help they need to become successful, contributing members of society. He also volunteers to help the homeless and is active with Central Christian Church. He loves the outdoors, biking, hiking and competes athletically participating in marathons and triathlons. Russ is married with two children.
